It's All About The Customer
By Jason PearsonCreating a website is exciting. So exciting that you may forget about the real purpose of your website- and that is to serve the customers need. Customers don't care how much time and effort you put into building your website. They want to know how it will help them solve problems, feel better, do better and ultimately succeed. This needs to be your focus and communicated through every page of your website.
Placing emphasis on your benefits will help customers understand the bottom line. What will this service do for them? Using bullet points is helpful in breaking down your benefits and making them very clear; *Organize your website for greater ease and understanding. Phrases such as "I will help organize your site so that visitors immediately understand the message of your website" can be used when writing about your benefits.
Mastering the art of relevancy is a tricky part of putting your customers first. If you are too focused on your excitement, you may be tempted to write a very large biography telling your potential customers all about your childhood experiences and what brought you to this business. Avoid this. Concentrate instead on your credentials, for this is all the customer is really interested in.
A strange part of marketing is the knowledge that you are only successful if and when people feel good about your product or service. They need to be able to feel the positive impact your product or service will afford them. This is where you can now direct your excitement; knowing that you've put your customer first and delivered what you promise. This is where your focus will be now, and this is how your website will succeed.
